Infant & Toddler Program
It is our goal to provide a safe, happy, and loving environment for your infant and/or toddler. We maintain the state regulated low infant/toddler to teacher ratio to provide the most attention for your child (one teacher to four infants or toddlers). Please help us give quality care and love to your child by not showing up at the center with your child on unscheduled days or times unless previously arranged with the center's Director. Please call us with changes in your schedule so that accommodations for your child can be made and your child will receive the care he/she deserves.
Each infant dictates his or her own schedule or daily routine. We ask when you enroll your child that your provide us, in writing, your baby's schedule at home (i.e.: feedings, naps, play times, etc.), as well as other special things you would like us to know about your child. ![]()
Toddlers have a daily schedule that they follow. We provide toddlers with a variety of activities during the day allowing for a balance of active, quiet, indoor and outdoor activities, and group and individual activities. The activities are very basic for toddlers and are posted in each classroom for your viewing.
A "Day In the Life Form" sheet is sent home daily for infants and toddlers letting parents know about meals, naps, diaper changes, and their child's general disposition during the day.
What to Bring:
At least 1 week's supply of diapers must be brought from home at a time. We provide baby wipes. Please watch your daily form for notice to bring more diapers. Due to sanitation reasons, we are unable to use cloth diapers.
At least TWO complete changes of clothing (including socks) should be brought daily or kept at the center. Infants and toddlers often get messy and need changes throughout the day. When potty training begins, even more extra clothes may be needed. All of your child's clothes should be labeled; little socks, etc., are hard to tell apart. Please also label any other items (car seats, diaper bags, blankets, etc.) that you will be leaving here during the day.
Prepared, ready-to-heat bottles must be brought daily and taken home nightly for infants and toddlers that still need a bottle. ALL bottles and food must be labeled! We are unable to reuse bottles. If your child is on breast milk, due to it being a bodily fluid, a bottle warmer needs to be brought in for your child. If they are on formula, we have a bottle warmer onsite.
Baby food must be provided from home for infants. We will serve our school lunch and snacks in appropriate size or mashed pieces when your baby is ready. Kids Campus requires that if your child is under a year old, a signed doctor's note and parents note is required to serve your child the school food and milk. All toddlers will be served the school lunch.
Preschool Program
We provide a traditional preschool curriculum. We believe that children learn through play. Therefore, we offer children the opportunity to explore different learning centers throughout their day: art, dramatic play, blocks, manipulatives, science, math, arts and crafts, music, movement, large motor skills, speech, vision, listening skills, and literacy. Also included is orientation to letters, numbers, shapes, sizes, colors, and time concepts. Pre-Kindergarten program also includes an introduction to phonics, printing, and simple mathematics. In addition, classes enjoy varied experiences with cooking, dance, and gardening. Activities in these areas are planned around the monthly themes listed in this handbook. Daily lesson plans are posted in each classroom showing the planned activities.
What to Bring:
We expect each preschool child to bring at least one complete change of clothes (yes, even socks) to daycare. A crib-size sheet and small blanket for naptime are also needed. Please label everything you send.
School-Age Program
We offer a before and after-school program for school-age children. We also provide service for all day Teacher In-Service and Early Dismissal for when the elementary schools are closed. On these days, we ask that you bring a sack lunch for your child, please remember no peanut products of any kind. An additional fee will be charged for Teacher In-Service and Early Dismissal days for 1st grade and up. This program offers children the opportunity to explore different modes of expression: art, dramatic play, blocks, science, math, and reading. There is also cooking, tumbling equipment, and field trips designed to respond to the special needs of school-age children. We also allow time for the children to do homework, if they so choose!
We provide transportation in our own school van to some nearby school(s) whose school bus does not come by our facility. Please check with the director for the schools we currently service to. Please check with the Director for the schools we currently service. Note: If for any reason our van is unavailable, our van drivers are insured to use their own vehicles.
